Hi, my name is Karianne and I'm a Zumba instructor.

My name is Karianne Salisbury. By day I am a communications director, but by night I am a ZUMBA Fitness instructor—one who brings energy, fun, and dance experience to a fitness class that can barely be called a workout. I have been participating in ZUMBA Fitness for almost three years and have more than 10 years of dance experience to add to that.

I completed my certification in April 2011 and am confident I can represent myself as a seasoned instructor with clear cueing, precise movements and continued energy and enthusiasm.

I grew up being very involved in dance, so that training has provided me with a solid foundation of knowledge about basic movements, music rhythms, choreography, and even how to help beginners learn to move their bodies in ways that might initially be foreign to them. In addition, my professional experience in communications and marketing gives me an advantage in spreading knowledge and information about my classes and ZUMBA Fitness in general.

I have received the Basic I ZUMBA Fitness instructor training and am currently a member of the ZUMBA Instructor Network, which provides a lot of resources for continuing education.

I love ZUMBA, and I know I can help those in my classes love and embrace it as well.
